3 Years as your Wakehurst MP

2023 - 2026

Three years as your Wakehurst MP

Hi Wakehurst,

Yesterday marked three years since being elected as your State MP, and I’m proud of the progress we’ve made together. This past year has built real momentum delivering wins across health, education, roads & transport, and local infrastructure.

These outcomes haven’t happened by chance. They’ve come from a community that speaks up, stays engaged, and keeps the pressure on. There’s still more to do, but we’ve made strong progress.

This past year alone:

  • Crucial legislation, the Health Services Amendment (PPP Prohibition) Bill passed in NSW Parliament, banning new Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) for building or operating public acute hospitals in New South Wales.

  • Parliament passed my own Northern Beaches Hospital (Voluntary Contract Termination) Bill 2025. The legislation enabled the NSW government to terminate the operating contract without paying penalties to Healthscope, saving the government hundreds of millions of dollars. This cleared a pathway to get our hospital back into public hands.

  • $85 million has been committed to upgrade Wakehurst Parkway, with works looking to start this year.

  • New buses delivered to the Northern Beaches fleet, expanding service capacity and improving reliability across the network.

  • NSW’s first electric bus depot opened locally in Brookvale.

  • Long Reef Headland's Boardwalk was upgraded.

  • Introduced my bill to advocate for stronger bushfire protections.

  • Great Koala National Park was secured.

  • I advocated for the recognition and formalisation of Red Hill bike jumps.

  • Major upgrades to Narrabeen Athletics Track.

  • A brand new Forest High School campus has opened its doors for pupils this term

  • A new multipurpose court for NBSC Cromer Campus is in the works.

  • The Education Pathways Program rolled out across 10 local schools, giving our local students the opportunity to study skills close to home.

Three years in, I remain incredibly grateful to serve the people of Wakehurst. What I value most is the chance to listen, stand up for our community, and deliver real outcomes that make a difference in people’s lives. It’s meaningful work, and I’m committed to giving it everything I have. I’ll keep pushing for better services, stronger infrastructure, and the outcomes our community deserves. These numbers show just how busy we’ve been in the Wakehurst EO and NSW Parliament.

  • 241 Speeches in Parliament

  • 51 Notices of Motion

  • 57 Parliamentary committee meetings & hearings

  • 86 Ministerial briefings

  • 108 Meetings with Ministers

  • 254 Meetings with NGO's, peak bodies, & Departments

  • 17,786 Unique constituent enquiries & cases

  • 325 Electorate Office constituent meetings

  • 699 Constituent meets and community visits

Thank you for your continued support, I'm excited to see where this next year takes us.

Cheers,
