Voting is your democratic right!
It is the only thing that citizens are required to participate in as their contribution to the freedoms and rights of Australians.
You are required by law to enrol to vote if you are an Australian citizen, aged 18 or over and have lived at your current address for more than one month.
You can now enrol to vote online, through the Australian Electoral Commission website.
You can also go online to re-enrol, register a change of name or address, or check that your enrolment details are up to date.

You will need to provide evidence of your identity in order to enrol online. You can use your driver's licence, Australian passport number or have someone who is enrolled confirm your identity.
