FILCOS North Shore

I recognise FILCOS North Shore, the Filipino Catholic Organisation of Sydney, as it celebrates its forty-fifth anniversary this month. Since 1981, FILCOS North Shore has played an important role in bringing people together through faith, friendship, culture and service to community. Community organisations like FILCOS do essential work that keeps our local community strong. That includes the Philippine Cultural Fiesta held last October and the cultural showcase in 2024. For many Filipino Australian families, FILCOS North Shore is a place of belonging and care across generations. Reaching 45 years is a remarkable milestone, and it reflects the dedication of the many volunteers, leaders, families and parish community members who have helped build and sustain the organisation. I congratulate FILCOS North Shore on that wonderful anniversary and thank the organisation for its ongoing contribution to our awesome community.
