I congratulate one of my constituents, Peter Casey, on receiving the prestigious Distinguished Long Service Award at the NSW Community Sports Awards in June. This well-deserved honour recognises Peter's extraordinary contribution to the Manly Warringah Touch Association across five decades. As a founding member of the association, Peter played in the inaugural competition in 1974 and has remained a dedicated member ever since. He was awarded life membership in 2000 and has served in numerous roles across its executive and management committees. Today Peter continues to make an important contribution as Sunday competition director, and he also serves on the honours committee. Peter's leadership and love of the game have helped Manly touch grow into one of Australia's largest touch football associations and an integral part of sport on the northern beaches. I congratulate Peter on this outstanding recognition and thank him for his service to our community.
