Ariel Darley

I rise to recognise Ariel Darley of Allambie Heights, honoured with a Community Service Award by Northern Beaches Council on Australia Day for her outstanding contribution to local sport. As Secretary of Warringah Aquatic Swimming Club, Ariel manages administration, compliance, membership and volunteer coordination, often dedicating more than 40 hours each week on top of her full time job. Community sport simply does not function without people like Ariel ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. A qualified Swimming NSW Technical Official, she directs and officiates club and regional meets that bring together hundreds of young swimmers and families. She also mentors new officials and volunteers, building clear pathways for parents and young people to get involved and strengthening the culture of volunteering across the Northern Beaches. Through her work on Swimming Metro Northeast and Swimming NSW committees, Ariel ensures local swimmers benefit from state level improvements. Her commitment and generosity are a credit to her and our community. I congratulate Ariel on this well deserved recognition.
