Today, I would like to celebrate the extraordinary young athlete, Bennet Crouch, for his remarkable performance with the Forest Lions. Competing in the Under 13 Division 1 competition, Bennet achieved the ultimate individual honour by taking out 1st place at the Sydney Harbour Junior AFL awards. Reaching the top of Division 1 is no small feat, it requires best of the best skill, relentless determination and an unmatched work ethic every single week. Bennet's ability to perform under pressure, and lift those around him embodies the spirit and characteristics of a champion. Bennet's achievement is particularly notable given his progress through the Forest Lions junior pathway. In 2025, he was selected in Forest Lions U12 Regional Pathway League squad, meaning his development was already being recognised at a representative level and furthered before he even reached Under 13s! Bennet, your outstanding dedication and passion for AFL has brought immense pride to the Forest Lions and our whole community. A big congrats on a brilliant, award winning season, and we look forward to seeing your journey continue to reach new heights!
