I rise to recognise the Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club Under 23 Men's Surf Boat Team for their outstanding result placing 5th at the 2026 Australian Surf Rowers League Championships. The crew, William Keep, Cass Hammond, Luca George, Jamie Tam O'Connor and Robert Maloney, did Collaroy proud. Surf boat rowing is a serious test of strength, courage and trust. You are charging through the surf, reading the conditions, and working together to control a 200-kilogram boat in unpredictable swell. It takes real skill and a lot of nerve. The Australian Surf Rowers League Championships are one of the premier surf boat competitions in the country, so this is a terrific achievement for the crew and for Collaroy Surf Life Saving Club. What stands out most is their incredible teamwork. Every member of the crew has to do their job, back each other in, and stay composed under pressure. That is exactly what this awesome team did. I congratulate William, Cass, Luca, Jamie and Robert on this fantastic national result, and thank them for the pride they have brought to Collaroy and our local surf lifesaving community
