I recognise Dawid Otrzasek from 1st Allambie Heights Scout Group, who has received the King's Scout Award. That is the highest and most recognised youth award in scouting, and it is a truly significant achievement. To earn it, Dawid spent around three years building his skills, leadership and service through the Venturer section. He learned new outdoor skills, drove projects including community‑focused initiatives, attended a leadership course and led a patrol through a four‑day adventurous journey. That took real commitment, and he had great support from his fellow scouts. It also took resilience, teamwork, discipline and a willingness to step up when others relied on him. Dawid should be incredibly proud of his achievement, as should his family, leaders and fellow scouts at Allambie Heights. I saw firsthand how proud they were the other night. I congratulate Dawid and thank him for being such a strong example of youth leadership in our community.
