I congratulate Dr Nancy Hillier on more than 30 years in education, including 15 years as Principal of Pittwater House, Collaroy, in the Wakehurst electorate. A member of the Australian College of Educational Leaders, among her other contributions, Dr Hillier will retire at the end of this year and return to Melbourne. Under her stewardship, Pittwater House has delivered strong academic results, increased enrolments by 70 per cent, broadened electives and extracurricular activities, completed significant capital works and focussed on all students reaching their full potential. Most importantly, she nurtured happy, confident and respectful students through strong pastoral care, backed by dedicated staff. Dr Hillier has led with energy, integrity and compassion. She is held in high regard by students, families, alumni and the wider community. Her legacy will be felt across the Northern Beaches for years to come. I thank Dr Hillier for her outstanding service and wish her well-earned rest and every fulfilment in retirement.
