Dr Timothy Martin Harpur, OAM

I congratulate Dr Timothy Martin Harpur OAM on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the King's Birthday Honours for service to the Northern Beaches community. Dr Harpur has served our community as a General Practitioner and Obstetrician/Gynaecologist in Dee Why since 1975. Across five decades, he has cared for generations of local families and contributed to the strength of local health care. His leadership in multidisciplinary general practice, his work as a clinical lead, and his training of medical students have helped shape the next generation of doctors. Dr Harpur has also given generously beyond medicine, through Anglicare, St Faith's Anglican Church, the Community Pantry with North Narrabeen Rugby League Club, and home visits to Northern Beaches nursing homes. This honour recognises a lifetime of practical care, faith-led service and deep commitment to others. I thank Dr Harpur and congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.
