Georgia Feledy

Today I congratulate 12‑year‑old Beacon Hill resident Georgia Feledy, who was selected to perform late last year in The Nutcracker at the Sydney Opera House with The Australian Ballet. Georgia, who attends Dance North Academy, was selected two years ago to commence The Australian Ballet training program.

It is an intensive program in which she attends The Australian Ballet School in Melbourne one week per year. Georgia also performed in September in the international ballet competition Youth America Grand Prix at Chatswood Concourse. She was successful in winning first place in the pre-competitive age contemporary dance division and has been selected to represent Australia in Florida in April this year. Georgia has also been selected for a position in Queensland Ballet Academy's Guest Academy Program. This program consists of Georgia travelling to Queensland for intensive training for one week each school term. I further congratulate Georgia for completing her primary school education at Beacon Hill Public School last year and wish her the best for her high school years in the dance program at Mackellar Girls high school. We are very proud of her.
