I join St Augustine's College in congratulating and farewelling Ilona Welch after an outstanding 25 years of service. Throughout her time at St Augustine's, Ilona has made a profound and long-lasting impact, serving as Head of Year, Head of English, Head of House and Dean of Student Wellbeing. In each of those roles, she has shown unwavering dedication to both student growth and staff development. Ilona played a key role in shaping the college's successful PERMA‑model‑aligned Augustinian Wellbeing in Education framework, helping to embed a culture of wellbeing that supports students to strive academically and personally. Her influence has extended far beyond the classroom, to presenting internationally and mentoring colleagues, generously sharing her knowledge and passion for education. Ilona leaves behind a powerful legacy of care, leadership and innovation. Ilona's contribution to St Augustine's and the wider community will be felt for many years to come. Thank you, Ilona.
