I recognise and congratulate Jackie Reavie, president of the Cromer Campus P&C, who has been named the Wakehurst electorate's Public School Parent and Volunteer of the Year at the Department of Education's foundation awards. Jackie was nominated by Principal Justin Hong, and it is easy to see why. Her leadership, energy and commitment have made a huge impact on Cromer Campus.
She has brought new life to the P&C by increasing engagement, filling every position and building a strong sense of community. She helped lead the charge for a new school hall, revived the school canteen into a sustainable and healthy service, and ran successful fundraising events that brought families, students and staff together. They included guest speaker nights, trivia and golf days. She has also supported the integrated studies program and has coordinated parent involvement and resources. Jackie has also led beautification projects like furniture upgrades and working bees, all while encouraging a great culture of positivity and inclusion across the school. Jackie and the entire Cromer Campus P&C should be incredibly proud. On behalf of the community, I congratulate and thank her.
