Kahli Johnson

I'd like to congratulate Kahli Johnson, a Northern Beaches local who just made her debut in the Matildas, representing Australia in a friendly match against Argentina. Growing up in our very own Wheeler Heights, Kahli fuelled her passion for soccer right here at home, playing for Dee Why FC, CC Strikers, and Manly United. Her commitment and talent have truly paid off.

On her Matildas debut in Melbourne the other night, Kahli scored a fantastic goal, helping Australia secure the win. Kahli's football journey began with Dee Why FC, CC Strikers, and Manly United. From these grassroots clubs, she worked her way up through the ranks, playing for Sydney FC, starring at Western United, and now representing Calgary Wild FC in Canada's Northern Super League, where she's quickly made her mark. What a dream come true and an inspiration for so many young players in our community. It's not every day Wakehurst plays on the international stage, and Kahli, we couldn't be more proud of you. You've shown what's possible for young people on the Beaches. Congratulations, and go the Tillies!
