I recognise outstanding young cricketer Keira Terrey of Allambie Heights, a recent recipient of the NSW Government State Representative Award. Keira was selected to represent New South Wales in the New South Wales metro under-16 cricket team at the national championships in January this year. Earning selection at that level is a remarkable achievement. It reflects Keira's skill, discipline, perseverance and many hours of hard work both on and off the field. As a cricket tragic myself, I am especially thrilled to see talented young athletes like Keira from Wakehurst representing our State with such pride and determination. Keira's achievement is why I was so proud to support her nomination for the award. I have no doubt she will inspire other young people in Wakehurst and across New South Wales to pursue their own sporting goals. I congratulate Keira. Our community is incredibly proud of her and I wish her every success in her future cricketing career. I will see her on the field.
