I'd like to recognise and congratulate Kira Henderson for an exceptional season on the footy field. Representing the Forest Lions in the Under 13 Girls Division 1 competition, Kira earned an outstanding 3rd place finish at the Sydney Harbour Junior AFL Awards. Competing in Division one is an achievement in itself, but after going up against the absolute best talent of the comp every single week, Kira was a shining example and thoroughly deserved her award. She showed tremendous skill, grit and resilience, consistently stepping up for her team in high-pressure situations and setting a brilliant example for those around her. Kira's 2026 result also follows an impressive achievement in the previous season. In the 2025 AFL Sydney Juniors Best and Fairest awards, she finished as the runner up in the Under 13 Youth Girls division 3 Blue competition, ever so close to the top spot. Her consecutive Association level recognitions demonstrate that her performances have been noticed over many seasons, legendary consistency! A big shoutout to Kira for a wonderful season, you have made the community extremely proud, and we cannot wait to cheer you on again!
