I wish to commend the Lions Club of Frenchs Forest for again organising and hosting yet another fabulous community event, Carols by Candlelight at Lionel Watts Reserve, Belrose. Now in its 55th year, it is lovely to see more and more community members coming together for the festivities. This year was the largest Christmas Carols in memory! Thank you to the local businesses who kindly donated goods and services, which helped raise funds to fight childhood cancer. The Lions Club of Frenchs Forest is a terrific local organisation and I thank their members for bringing joy to the community at what can be a trying time of the year. It was a lovely touch to pause the carols to reflect on the lives lost last week at Bondi Beach.
