Make-A-Wish Australia

I offer massive congratulations to Make-A-Wish Australia on reaching a remarkable milestone of 40 years of granting life-changing wishes to children with critical illness. Since its founding in 1985, the organisation has transformed the lives of over 11,000 children, bringing hope and joy to families across the nation during the toughest of times. Last month I was lucky enough to join its gala celebrations and hear heartwarming stories of wishes come true, from dream holidays to fairy tea parties and unforgettable meet-and-greets with sporting legends and many other celebrities. This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of the Wish Force team of volunteers, who work tirelessly to make wishes come true. I particularly thank the heroes of the Sydney North volunteer crew, who have made a huge impact on the lives of sick children in my community, including the family of one of my staff members. Here's to 40 years of pure magic. May the foundation continue to spark joy for the brave children battling critical illness across our country. The world is brighter because of them.
