Melinda Steward - Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club

I would like to recognise Melinda Stewart for her outstanding service and commitment to the Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club. For over a decade, Melinda has devoted her time to helping the club, as well as playing a crucial role in overcoming challenges that they face.

Serving as part of the board committee for over 10 years, as well serving as Chairperson for 8 years, Melinda is a key and vital part of the organisation. She has constantly demonstrated strong leadership and resilience, especially as she helped the club work through significant challenges like COVID. Throughout her time at Manly Warringah Gymnastics Club, she has supported the club to reach significant milestones, including reaching 2,500 members and helping secure a grant of $10 million for developing a new Centre of Excellence. This proves how her leadership and dedication has truly made a difference to the club. Without people like her we would not have the successful clubs that so many people in our community enjoy. On behalf of the Wakehurst community, I thank Melinda for the tireless hours and care that she dedicates to the MWGC.
