I recognise Michael Richer, who was awarded the Ambulance Service Medal in the 2025 King's Birthday Honours List. Michael has dedicated an incredible 27 years to NSW Ambulance. He has served our community with unwavering commitment, compassion and leadership. His work has made a real and lasting difference to the health and safety of people across our region.

On the front line and in leadership roles, Michael has shown what it means to step up in moments of crisis, to care for others with skill and empathy and to lead with integrity during times of crisis. This medal is more than just an individual honour; it is a testament to the quiet heroism of paramedics who show up day after day. Michael's dedication to training and mentoring others has helped strengthen the entire service. His impact will be felt for years to come. On behalf of the people of Wakehurst, I offer him my heartfelt congratulations and sincere thanks. This honour is incredibly well earned. I congratulate Michael.
