Mrs Josephine Daisy Harpur, OAM

I congratulate Mrs Josephine Daisy Harpur OAM on being awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in the King's Birthday Honours for service to the Northern Beaches community. Mrs Harpur has given extraordinary service through St Faith's Anglican Church, where she coordinated Special Religious Education for local schools for many years and has been a member since around 1980. Her commitment to young people is also reflected in her long service at Collaroy Plateau Public School, including as a volunteer Special Religious Education teacher from 1983 to 2024, and through the school's P&C and Board of Governors. Mrs Harpur has also supported our community through Lifeline, The Cottage Counselling Centre, Anglicare, English as a Second Language teaching, and the Community Pantry with North Narrabeen Rugby League Club. This is a deeply deserved recognition of decades spent helping others. I thank Mrs Harpur for her remarkable service and congratulate her on this honour.
