I recognise some outstanding local cricketers from Manly Warringah District Cricket Club who have taken out top honours at the recent NSW Premier Cricket awards. Zach Trewartha was named Men's Second Grade Captain of the Year, an awesome achievement that reflects his strong leadership and consistent performance across the season. Roy Vumbaca was recognised as Men's Coach of the Year, a testament to the time, effort and care he puts into developing players and building a strong club culture, particularly off the field. Sam Webber was awarded Men's Third Grade Captain of the Year, highlighting a great season of leadership and commitment on and off the field. Collectively these men helped contribute to Manly winning first and second grade premierships this season, an extraordinary achievement. These awards do not just happen. They are the result of hard work and genuine passion for the game and their teammates. It is great to see local talent being recognised at this level. I congratulate Zach, Roy and Sam on their well‑deserved success. They have done their club and the northern beaches proud, not just on the field, as I said, but off the field too.
