I congratulate the under-15 boys' basketball team from the Cromer campus of the Northern Beaches Secondary College on their historic achievement at this year's Sydney North regional finals. The boys became the first Cromer under-15 side to reach that stage of the competition, defeating Gorokan High School by 12 points in the semi-final to secure their place in the decider. In a thrilling final, the teams were level at full time, taking the match into overtime. Cromer ultimately fell short by a single basket, but the players have every reason to be proud of their performance. Reaching the final set a new benchmark for the school's under-15 boys basketball program and reflected the team's hard work, determination and growth throughout the season. I also acknowledge coaches Mr "Be Like Mike" Hong, who is also the school principal, and Mr Mak for their guidance and support. I congratulate the entire team on a huge and memorable season. They have done their school and community proud.
