Northern Sydney and Beaches U16/1 Hockey Team

I'm proud to recognise the outstanding achievements of the Northern Sydney and Beaches Under 16/1 Hockey Team following their exceptional performance at the Hockey NSW Under 16 Field State Championships. The team delivered an outstanding campaign, demonstrating skill, determination and teamwork. Competing against the strongest sides from across New South Wales, the players showed composure and consistently performed at a high standard. Their efforts earned them a place in the Grand Final and confirmed Northern Sydney and Beaches as one of the top two Under 16 representative teams in the state. In a thrilling Division 1 decider, they pushed Newcastle before narrowly going down 3-2. Although they fell just short of the title, finishing as State runners-up is an achievement and fitting recognition of their quality, consistency and sporting spirit throughout the championship. This success reflects hours of training, the commitment of every player and the guidance of coaches, managers, volunteers and families. On behalf of my community, I congratulate the players and their support team on an outstanding Championship campaign. They should be immensely proud of what they achieved, and I wish them every success in the future.
