Peter Mcaskill

I recognise Peter McAskill, a justice of the peace, from Forestville RSL, for his extraordinary commitment to the Wakehurst community. As membership officer and wellbeing support coordinator, Peter goes above and beyond for veterans and their families, conducting regular hospital visits and wellbeing check-ups, always being a steady source of support.

But Peter's dedication does not stop there. As schools liaison officer, he builds strong connections between Forestville RSL and local schools, coordinating art and poetry competitions, commemoration ceremonies and education grants for students who are relatives of veterans. Peter's decades of tireless service have created a legacy of care and connection. He not only supports those who have served our country but also educates and inspires young people in my community. Peter is known for his approachability, sense of humour and willingness to go the extra mile—qualities that make a world of difference to those around him. Peter's tireless work, compassion and leadership have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many in Wakehurst. He is the kind of volunteer every community needs: selfless, reliable and deeply caring. On behalf of the Wakehurst electorate, I thank Peter for all he does for our veterans and for the next generation.
