I recognise the dedicated committee of the Pittwater‑Narrabeen Parkinson's Support Group. The support group is run by some of my incredible constituents to support patients and families living with Parkinson's disease. Chairperson and treasurer Margaret Smith, speaker seeker Karen Graves, secretary Dot Waterhouse and committee member Bronwyn Curtis provide an invaluable support network for people living with Parkinson's, as well as their carers and families. Through their volunteer work, the committee coordinates meetings, holds morning teas, shares important information and creates a warm, trusted space for connection and peer support. The group is a genuine anchor in our local community, helping people affected by Parkinson's to feel less isolated and better supported. Importantly, the committee is guided by lived experience, bringing to its work deep empathy and practical understanding. Some members continue to serve in full‑time carer roles themselves, while still generously dedicating their time to helping others. I thank Margaret, Karen, Dot and Bronwyn for their compassion, commitment and service to our community.
