I congratulate Sam Neaves, the extremely deserving Local Woman of the Year for Wakehurst. Sam is a local legend. She is the driving force behind Stage Artz Performing Arts School, which is a much-loved institution in our community.
Through her incredible leadership, Stage Artz Performing Arts School has raised over $300,000 for the Children's Hospital at Westmead, making a real and lasting difference in the lives of sick kids and their families. Beyond the fundraising, Sam and her team have created such an inclusive and welcoming space where performers of all ages can shine. Her passion, dedication, and generosity are well known in the community, and I cannot wait to see what Sam and the Stage Artz Performing Arts School do next. I also congratulate her on the latest production of Heathers the Musical, which is raising money for youth mental health through headspace Brookvale. How good is that! Our community is so lucky to have Sam, and I thank her for all the work she has done.
