I am delighted to recognise Teddy Smith of the Forest Lions AFL Club for an outstanding season of AFL and her commitment to the sport she loves. Teddy has had an exceptional 2026 campaign with the Forest Lions Under 15 Youth Girls Division 3 team. Her season culminated when Forest defeated Northwest Lightning in the AFL Sydney Juniors Division 3 Blue Grand Final. Teddy was named Best on Ground, an individual recognition of her performance in the most important match of the season. This achievement was followed by another significant honour. At the 2026 SHJAFL Association Awards, Teddy was recognised and received the 3rd place award, among the many Forest players invited to the Association Awards. Teddy's consistency has also been recognised beyond a single season. In the 2025 AFL Sydney Juniors Presentation Night awards, she finished second in the Under 15 Youth Girls Division 3 Blue Best and Fairest. I congratulate Teddy Smith on her Grand Final Best on Ground honour and recognise the dedication, teamwork and commitment she has demonstrated throughout her footy career.
