Tribute to Richard Gordon

I pay tribute to Richard Gordon, a beloved member of the Killarney Heights and Forestville community, who passed away in April last year. Richard made significant contributions to the local community throughout his life. He served as director of the Forestville RSL Club from 1997 until 2003 and went on to become the president of the Forestville RSL War Memorial Playing Fields Community Committee. For the 100-year anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli, Richard played a key role in the creation of the Anzac Memorial Pathway in 2015, in partnership with the Northern Beaches Council. It is a lasting tribute to the Anzac legacy. Richard was also a dedicated member of the Killarney Heights Probus Club from 1996, and his commitment to volunteer service extended even further through his 43 years as a justice of the peace. Richard's enduring dedication has left an indelible mark on our community. Richard is deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Richard's family. May he continue to rest in peace.
