Wakehurst Trefoil Guild

I congratulate the wonderful members of the Wakehurst Trefoil Guild as they celebrate their thirty-fifth anniversary this year. Based at Frenchs Forest Girl Guide Hall, the guild brings together women who are dedicated to keeping the spirit of Girl Guides alive. These awesome women continue to give their time, skills and care to others within our community. Over the past year they have helped judge the Australia My Country competition, volunteered for the beloved annual Northern Beaches Council Sun Run and lent a hand to residents at Uniting Wesley Gardens Belrose by running the village coffee shop. They filled up Operation Christmas Child boxes for Samaritan's Purse to deliver toys and school supplies to children in need around the world. In their spare time, they also raise money for Wheelchairs for Kids. They have done truly amazing work. I recently had the pleasure of attending their annual general meeting and saw firsthand the care and generosity that defines this group. Their work reminds us of the extraordinary impact of people who choose to serve others. I congratulate them on this remarkable milestone and thank them for their service to our community. Here is to many more years ahead.
