Today I recognise Computer Pals for Seniors for helping older residents build confidence with technology and stay connected to our community. Founded by Nan Bosler AM in 1995, Computer Pals operates from the Narrabeen Tramshed, offering a welcoming place to learn, ask questions and make friends. Its volunteers patiently guide members through the digital skills that everyday life increasingly demands, from keeping in touch with family to accessing online services. They also help members recognise scams and navigate the internet with greater confidence. These lessons offer much more than computer literacy. They support independence, reduce isolation and ensure older residents have opportunities to participate in an increasingly digital world. Nan, a constituent and passionate advocate for young people, people with disability and older Australians, has created an enduring legacy of inclusion and lifelong learning. As patron since 2008, I am proud to support this organisation and its dedicated volunteers. I thank everyone at Computer Pals for their patience, generosity and commitment to ensuring that learning new skills, making connections and embracing new opportunities remain possible at every age.
