Hailey Wilson: Nipper of the Year

I'm so thrilled to congratulate Hailey Wilson of Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club on being named one of Westfield Warringah Mall's 2026 Nippers of the Year. The initiative recognises young surf lifesavers who demonstrate dedication, sportsmanship and commitment to their clubs and community. Hailey's recognition is an awesome achievement and a reminder that the strength of surf lifesaving begins with the young people learning its values. Through Nippers, kids can develop confidence in the ocean and learn to work together, as well as the importance of looking out for others. I know those lessons continue well beyond the beach. I also thank the volunteer coaches, age managers and families at Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club who support our young people and make these opportunities possible. Congratulations Hailey. Your achievement is something you, your family and your club can be very proud of, and I wish you every success in the season ahead!
