Beacon Hill Public School

I congratulate Beacon Hill Public School on celebrating its seventieth anniversary this year. Since 1955 Beacon Hill Public School has stood proudly at the heart of the community for seven incredible decades. It began with just 72 students and quickly grew to over 1,000 in the 1970s, reflecting the rapid growth of the northern beaches and the school's strong reputation for excellence. Known affectionately as the "friendly school", Beacon Hill lives up to its motto, "Be Proud to Achieve", nurturing generations of students in a culture grounded in respect, responsibility and care. Students are supported to grow into confident, resilient young people with a love of learning and a strong sense of community. The passionate teachers and principals, including the current principal, Peta Hanson, as well as support staff, volunteers, families and students have shaped the school's legacy. I thank them all for their enduring commitment and awesome spirit. I wish a happy seventieth to Beacon Hill Public School. Those guys are amazing, and they have made our community very proud.
