Manly Cricket Academy

I am so proud to congratulate the Manly Warringah District Cricket Club on the launch of a brand-new indoor cricket academy in the heart of Cromer. Last week I was lucky enough to attend the launch of the Manly Cricket Academy and even test out the state-of-the-art facility. It is seriously impressive. The nets and training areas are exactly what our aspiring male and female cricketers need. I have no doubt it will inspire the next generation of local talent. Whether someone is batter or a bowler, whether it is rain or shine or day or night, they now have the perfect place to practise and level up their skills. No more weather interruptions—just pure cricketing fun all year round. It is fantastic to see an indoor space where everyone from juniors to seasoned players can hone their game in a safe and supportive environment. It is a genuine game changer for the cricketing community across the northern beaches. The academy even offers the help of dedicated coaching programs for players of all skill levels, making it accessible to everyone who wants to be involved. I particularly congratulate the cricket club volunteers on their commitment and decades of hard work to set up that awesome facility. The club is led by its long-serving president, Andrew Fraser, and gives a lot back to our local community. I am proud to be its patron.
