I congratulate the "Mighty Migs"—the Men in Green—also known as the Warringah Cricket Club, on an outstanding season, winning four from four grand finals on the weekend, as well as club championships. It is an awesome effort—history making, actually. Cricket has always been a big part of my life, so it is fantastic to see my local club achieving this level of success. Warringah has long been an important part of grassroots cricket on the northern beaches, and this season they have shown what they are capable of, sweeping the senior grades of the Sydney Shires Competition—first, second, third and fourth grades. Ridiculous! Their first-grade side claimed their grand final win for the first time in 38 years, which was a huge milestone for the club. What stands out as much is the culture behind the results. Warringah Cricket Club continues to build a strong and supportive environment where players, coaches and volunteers all play their part. It is why they continue to be the benchmark for the Spirit of Cricket award. I have no doubt they will win that again this year as they not only continue to play in the right spirit but also give very generously back to the local community. I congratulate everyone involved on a fantastic achievement. It is one the whole community can be, and are, proud of.
